Industry updates / Honouring Dr Paul Rowland

GWIC staff were saddened to learn of the passing of our former colleague, Dr Paul Rowland. Dr Rowland was a highly regarded veterinarian, and much-loved friend to the greyhound racing industry. He was an intelligent, positive and generous colleague whose contributions to the workplace, and the wider industry will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Victoria, his sons and all who knew him during this incredibly difficult time.

Dr Rowland’s funeral will be held at St Michael’s Anglican Cathedral in Market St, Wollongong at 10:30am on Saturday 15 May.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance is limited to 100 people. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Robyn Hatton on 0415 904 037.

The service will be livestreamed here: https://clicktime.symantec.com/3VmhUBsJemYY3iApKaVbQ2X7Vc?u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FFXpms6ap1x4

In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a contribution can donate to the SHACK (Shoalhaven Heads Apex Cottages for Kids), a foundation close to Dr Rowland’s heart that focuses on improving the lives of children and families living with chronic illness or disabilities.

GWIC will arrange a memorial plaque to honour our former colleague at his favourite greyhound racing track in Dapto, NSW.
