Protocol for track inspections and race abandonments
The purpose of the below procedure is to provide clarity to greyhound racing participants and greyhound racing clubs on the steps officiating stewards will take to determine if a track is suitable for racing. It sets out the respective roles of both GRNSW and GWIC officials; the timeframes for certain activities and assessments to occur; and escalation points where significant decisions have to be made in relation to abandonment of race meetings.
